The Martin Luther King, Jr. Committee of Ventura County was established in 1986 to accomplish the following:

• To provide continuous awareness to the citizens of Ventura County about one of our nation’s greatest leaders, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
   

• To celebrate his dream through an annual birthday observance “Freedom March” and program acknowledging the positive achievements and accomplishments of individuals within the community.
   

• To enlighten, enrich, and provide continuous awareness to citizens of Ventura County about Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and acknowledge the positive achievements and accomplishments of individuals within the community.

 

We are a non-profit public charity as defined by section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
