

About the Committee

The Martin Luther King, Jr. Committee of Ventura County was established in 1986 to accomplish the following:

To provide continuous awareness to the citizens of Ventura County about one of our nation’s greatest leaders, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

To celebrate his dream through an annual birthday observance “Freedom March” and program acknowledging the positive achievements and accomplishments of individuals within the community.

To enlighten, enrich, and provide continuous awareness to citizens of Ventura County about Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and acknowledge the positive achievements and accomplishments of individuals within the community.
We are a non-profit public charity as defined by section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
